If you walk on to a university campus, the average student there will be drinking around 2 cups of coffee per day.1
If the average student heads to Starbucks for their coffee that costs them roughly $3.70 per day (PLUS TAX), which equates to $111 per month and not to mention, a TON of waste.2 Let’s brainstorm ways to reduce the 720 plastic lids, cups, and additional waste we are throwing out per year, just from those daily coffees.
Here are some waste-free, budget-friendly alternatives
to a fresh brew, that will still give you your morning energy:
Oatmeal
Bananas (be sure to compost the peel!)
Avocados
Yogurt
Dark Chocolate
Chia seeds
Peanut Butter
Here are come great meal ideas to make with these foods:
Avocado Toast
Overnight Oats
Bananas and Peanut butter
Other tips to reduce your coffee-related waste
Bring a reusable cup (you can even get 10% off in select stores!, we recommend the Stojo cups found at The Keep Refillery)
Try and get at least 7 hours of sleep per tonight, to feel naturally well rested
Hydrate well (with water)
